Preschool science

This morning, we tried an experiment, similar to the one where we made water "walk". Today, Mrs. Lister brought in white carnations and she added different colored food coloring to their water.   Preschoolers made predictions about what they think might happen to the flowers and to the water.  Ask your preschooler if they noticed any changes before the end of our school day.

Tomorrow we try a different flower to see if we get the same results.

100th day

Today was the 100th day of school (and crazy hair day).  Preschool scholars were given collections of small, medium and large cups and small and large plates. The first job was to guess how many of each material we had.  The first guess was 3 and the next guess was 10.  I reminded the class many times that it was the 100th day of school and finally we had the correct guess of 100!  This morning and this afternoon, scholars had opportunities to use the cups and plates to build. This was a fun way to celebrate this special day, doing what we do best ...PLAYING.

Video of our classroom!

Please enjoy the video of our classroom routines.  This video was taken on Friday morning when we made our Starry Starry Night paintings.  Those paintings will come home today!  Thanks, Mr. Berry for the video. The class enjoyed watching it this morning!
