Happy New Year.

Preschoolers talked about how 2016 is coming to an end.  Sometimes New Year's celebrations have fireworks.  We also watched firework celebrations on our white board.   Scholars used paper towel rolls, paint and lots of glitter to make their paintings just right. Happy New Year, everyone!

Visiting with friends

Mrs. Darling's class of second graders came to our classroom to paint and visit.  We painted with "snow" made of glue and shaving cream.  We added some glitter and peppermint to make it more festive.  Second graders joined us for a snack of popcorn and hot cocoa.  As we finished eating, we read stories and chatted and played.  It was a wonderful way to start off this very cold Friday!

Brush brush brush

Nurse Heather came into our classroom to talk about toothbrushing. Today we will start brushing our teeth during our school day. The hope is that these scholars are brushing twice a day at home.

Indoor Campout

Today was our first activity with our second-grade buddies.  Ms. Darling's class came down to our room and they read to us and we read to them.  The teachers put a campfire on the screen and they cooked smores for all of us.  We also completed the first page of our friendship book.  We all enjoyed this time together and we will plan another event soon.  Thanks second-graders for making today extra fun!
